Nancy Florence Savard, a graduate of Université Laval, launched her television career in Montreal. After a decade as a production designer, producer and product manager with large major media conglomerates, she founded her own production company in 1998: 10th Ave Productions, based in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures. Ms. Savard is a pioneer in digital television and animation who co-produced the first 100% Canadian animated feature film which was released in movie theatres in 2013: La légende de Sarila (The Legend of Sarila). With this release, she became the first Canadian to direct an 80-minute animated feature film in stereoscopy (3D).

In 2014, after winning numerous awards at the Toronto International Film Festival, her work as a director was recognized with a Birks Diamond Tribute, awarded to women of the year in cinema. That same year, Ms. Savard produced the first 100% Quebec-made French-language animated feature film, Le Coq de St-Victor (The Rooster of Saint-Victor), which was acquired by Universal Studio. Last February, 10th Ave Productions launched its 3rd animated feature film: Nelly et Simon : A Yeti Adventure (Nelly & Simon: A Yeti Adventure), a 100% Canadian film co-produced and written by Nancy Florence that was selected at 18 festivals and sold in more than 60 countries.
