Montreal, July 22 2021 — Inno-centre and the Conseil du patronat du Québec (CPQ) are partnering to accompany and support SMEs in their digital transformation projects.

A partnership for Quebec Inc.

This collaboration was developed to pool the resources from each organization in order to help Quebec SMEs initiate or develop their digital transformation. This association will allow Inno-centre and CPQ to benefit from the sharing of a large business network and expertise, as well as to better target the technological issues and needs of SMEs. Inno-centre's mission, which is to support innovative SMEs in various sectors in achieving their growth and performance objectives, is fully in line with the CPQ's purpose, which is to help Quebec prosper.

"Innovation and technological change are essential components for companies in order to remain competitive and produce more value. Investing in new technologies, particularly digital ones, is also a good way to counter the labour shortage that is currently affecting Quebec. This partnership between the CPQ and Inno-centre represents a great opportunity for entrepreneurs, who will have access to business advice specific to their reality. The project also covers the aspects of change management and skills development, two key elements in the integration of new technologies. Their importance should not be underestimated: according to several studies, 80% of digital investment projects are doomed to failure if companies are not supported. The CPQ wants to help make our companies the most innovative," explains Karl Blackburn, President and CEO of the Conseil du patronat du Québec.

A first joint project

As part of their first joint activity, Inno-centre is launching a series of collaborative groups focusing on the theme of digital transformation. This project consists of the formation of groups composed of 6 to 8 decision-makers who will meet in virtual sessions every 4 to 5 weeks. The meetings will last two hours and will be facilitated by a senior consultant from the CPQ's HR Advisory Services team. The objective of these meetings is to exchange best management practices and to take advantage of each member's contribution to the evolution of a digital transformation project, thereby helping the Quebec entrepreneurial community.

Inno-centre, which has a vast base of growing client companies located throughout Quebec, is pleased to be associated with the CPQ. The CPQ plays a key role with Quebec entrepreneurs and sector associations, and we welcome the fact that entrepreneurs can use the CPQ's resources to pursue their growth objectives. With this first event, entrepreneurs will be able to share their experiences on the field and enrich their digital transformation strategies
